Originally established as "The Incomparable Benzini Brothers", the Hothouse Flowers need no introduction. Their careers have taken them from busking in Grafton Street in 1985 to international fame and success. They brought their inimitable style to The Late Lounge on Friday 26th. January 2010. |
The band formed in February 2007 and soon after released their first EP " Big Day Out". Following this and a large number of live dates the band released their first single "Angeline" to much critical acclaim. The track racked up numerous plays on BBC Radio 1 and also the BBC Radio Ulster "Across the Line" show, U105fm and Phantom Fm in Dublin. more.... |
Originally a solo home project of Gazz Carr, Butterfly Explosion has developed into a full blown band, releasing two EPs independently, touring North America, UK and Ireland, with interest bringing festival appearances as far afield as Austin Texas (SXSW) and Tallin Estonia (Paljassaare Rock Fest). Their increasingly epic live shows have seen them be championed by many as one of the most promising bands to emerge from Ireland in recent years.
